Sara Sabo - Rhythm Guitar/Vocals/Leader
I grew up in a family that sang together.  In fact, when we have family gatherings, the guitars come out, perhaps a fiddle and sometimes cousin Ted brings his mandolin and everybody sings.  According to my family, I have been humming/singing since before I could even talk.  My first song was "Jesus Loves Me".  My parents bought a guitar when I was sixteen and like Johnny Cash and most of the inspiring musicians of the 60's, I learned three chords (key of D) and hit the road.  Though I love folk music, my passion has always truely been for gospel music because the words spoke to my very heart, mind and soul.

What I love about Master Plan is that God put us together without us even knowing what was going on.  None of us planned on starting a band.  God brought together singers and musicians with different tastes, backgrounds and styles of music and made us one voice for Him.

I like all types of christian music from bluegrass to hip-hop.  I feel that an old hymn can give the plan of salvation, the contemporary song can tell a story of a life drawn to God, and a praise can help us touch Him on His Throne while we are still on this earth.  There is nothing that thrills me more than when the words of a song, that I or someone else writes or sings, touches a soul.  God's Kingdom and purpose is what it is all about and it is for Him and Him only that I sing

Being part of Master Plan is totally God's will. He has brought me together with a group of strangers who all have the same calling.  Everyone wants to praise the Lord with music and spread the glory of the Lord to the world.

Growning up in a christian home of musicians, it didn't take long to know that I was going to be heavily into music.  I started taking drum lessons at 4 years old and was playing with my mother and fathers country band at 10.  Playing secular music allowed me to see things that normal young teenagers should probably never see, but since I was with my parents, I was taught by them what was right and what was wrong.  At about 13 years old I started messing around with the piano.  My mother showed me the basic chords and I went from there.  I picked up different techniques by watching other musicians and practicing as much as I could.  God had given me a talent to work on.

At 16 years old, Sarah had me come to up-state NY.  She had me play back-up for her for prison ministry's and other church ministry's.  Since I was also playing in church with my mother and father''s band, I didn't have any problem with going with her.  I saw many more things in the prison's that scared me straight.

My early adulthood years saw me stray from God and more towards secular music but  after an altercation at a pub that we were playing at, I gave up secular music altogether.  I reestablished my relationship with God and now all I play is His music.

Master Plan is a way for me to be able to express myself through the music we play.  Dealing with many of the arrangements that we put together and working with all the great members of the group, I see God's message come out of our music.  Prayer is a critical factor in the band and not only do we pray for each other, we also pray for where we are playing, who we are playing for and that God's will be on what we do.

The quote that I like to use most often is "If it feels more like a job and is not fun, than we are not playing for God!" .  God Bless .

Ten years ago, God gave me a vision of a band playing in the park and many souls came to know Him.  Since that day, I have experienced a strong desire to minister to the lost and hurting through the gift of song.  Every member of the band has the same desire to bring glory to the name of Jesus by winning souls for His kingdom.  There is no doubt whatsoever that uniting with Master Plan is certainly part of God's  Master Plan for my life.
